Countryman DT85 Active Direct Box
The classic Type 85 connects any high-impedance instrument pickup, even piezo pickups, to a balanced microphone (XLR type) input. It provides a strong, clean signal to the mix board without adding noise or distortion. It won’t change the tone or volume you hear from your own amp like passive direct boxes.
The DB-1 is a professional quality passive direct box for connection of unbalanced musical instruments, line-level sources, and guitar amplifier outputs to low-Z balanced microphone input for PA or recording. 1/4" (6.35mm) input (with parallel 1/4" output). Switches for speaker/line-level attenuation, high-cut filter, and ground lift. Male XLR-type balanced mic-level output. Uses Pro Co DBT-1 transformer (20k/150 ohm).
Designed to interface your unbalanced stereo line sources such as ipods, CD players and computers with professional balanced low impedance equipment. Inputs: 1/8" mini TRS stereo jack or 2 sets of color-coded RCA in/thru. Output: color coded XLRs.
