AMT M40 [Restock Item] Boundary Layer Piano Microphone with Preamp

The hand-built AMT M40 from Applied Microphone Technology has been specially designed as a piano microphone, but it also works equally well in other applications, such as boundary layer miking (conference, stage). So once again, the AMT product line maintains consistency with the most natural-sounding piano mic system on the market.

Monaural (mono) in design, it allows for use with the piano lid closed. It's capable of picking up subtle passages as well as higher sound pressure levels up to 141dB. Its rugged construction of anodized aviation aluminum allows it to withstand high impact while being lightweight and non-corrosive. The M40's signal can be split, and frequencies rolled off in a specific way to create a stereo image.
