The Sony UTX-P40 is a compact and lightweight wireless plug-on transmitter designed for compatibility with the URX-P40 camera-mount receiver. With its robust all-metal construction, this plug-on transmitter is built to withstand tough operating conditions. It offers a transmission range of up to 330' and operates for up to 6 hours on two AA batteries. The selectable RF power output of 5/40mW and the wide bandwidth of 72 MHz with 2772 selectable UHF frequencies ensure reliable and flexible wireless performance.

The UTX-P40 can be easily attached to a handheld microphone or shotgun microphone (both available separately) to enable wireless operation for man-on-the-street interviews or booming applications. It provides 48 V phantom power, allowing the use of condenser microphones for enhanced audio capture. Additionally, the UTX-P40 is backward-compatible with Sony WL-800 and UWP Series systems, providing compatibility with existing setups and expanding the versatility of your wireless microphone system.
