Been using one for a few years for 5 string bass. Tone sounds unaltered. Twice it dropped out because the receiver didn't like the channel(interference), but only twice. Since then I let it scan for a channel before downbeat instead of reusing last gig's channel. The power supply cable/plug could be more robust, as well as the xmitter antenna. Battery life is good.
